I went on the Have Bike Lets Travel trip to Italy in the fall
of 04. I am a new rider and this was my first cycling trip. I had an awesome experience. I was concerned as a new rider that
the physical demands might be to much for me to enjoy myself and the wonderful country side I had read about in the Tuscan
region. This was not the case at all. There were a wide variety of rides and Greg was great at helping me pick the rides which
suited my skill level. As a "BIG DUMB AMERICAN" I was surprised at how hospitable the motorist we shared the roads with were.
During climbs where the roads were very narrow the cars would hang back a comfortable distance until it was safe to pass. The
accommodations that were provided were perfect. Not only were they picturesque, but very functional with kitchens which made
for low cost eats, and available laundry. I don't think that I can do the country side justice with a written description
accept to say you gotta see it. In closing I can't wait until the 05 trip. If you are planning a trip this should be the
one.

WOW!!! I finally made it to Italy (Oct. 04) and there is NO better way to explore than
on a bike! Tana de' Lepri is gorgeous. Greg truly found a gem of a location- so many rides we needed more days!! Colle di
Val d'Elsa was our home base and couldn't have been better- DELICIOUS food, GREAT times with new friends & old!! Riding is
a JOY with courteous drivers and views of olive trees, grapevines, and Medieval towns- its amazing!! I signed up and ready
to go again this year(Oct. 05). THANKS Greg for such an EXCEPTIONAL vacation!

The
trip that Have Bike Lets Travel arranged to Italy in 2004 was one of the best vacations I've ever had. The apartments are
extremely nice and very clean. The cycling is even better than you expect it to be. It is just very cool to ride from out
of the Tuscan countryside and into a medieval city. The bike routes that Greg organized were excellent. The drivers
in Italy are very courteous to cyclists. In fact they are encouraging. This is a very nice change from what happens around
home in the Washington DC area! We are very much looking forward to this years vacation there again!

Italy
2004 was my first experience out of the country – and I’m afraid it set the bar pretty high for future trips. I saw some of
the most beautiful countryside in the world, ate fantastic food and drank good Italian wine (more than I care to admit).
Cycling in Italy was an experience like no other – beautiful winding roads, courteous motorists, the occasional Italian asking
if we were Lance Armstrong … the Medieval castles and the picturesque views were well worth the climbs to get there. The
Italians were glad to have us there and treated us well. I didn’t know but one person there before I went but I came away
from it with some great friends. Between the food, wine, views, cycling and fantastic people, I’m looking forward to this
year’s trip (Oct 8) – I wouldn’t miss it for the world !

Being fairly new to cycling,
I was a little intimidated at the thought of riding on the hilly Italian terrain. Fortunately, my desire to see the Italian
countryside outweighed my apprehension and I made my reservations. Greg’s constant positive reinforcement, knowledge of the
terrain, and enthusiasm to ride with even the most novice of cyclist made my trip to Italy the trip of a lifetime. Regardless
if you are the casual cyclist who likes to ride from hill town to hill town sightseeing or you like racing down switchbacks
and logging a lot of miles, THIS IS THE TRIP FOR YOU!
I look forward to this year’s trip. Ciao!
